To Supplement or not? Focus today is on Zinc.

First, let me recommend highly a book I constantly refer to.

 The Real Vitamin and Mineral Book.

Supplements are a necessity for staying young and healthy. We don't have to look at the coming years with dread but instead look forward to staying  strong in mind, body, and spirit.  Supplementing allows you to fight diseases that we have  often just come to accept.

 An example of a powerful tool is zinc. This essential mineral is naturally found in every cell of our body. When we supplement with additional  zinc the benefits are enormous, some but not all are... immune system boosting, acceleration of wound healing, promotion of ovulation and fertilization,  prevention of cancer, helps decrease cholesterol deposits leading to less build up in our arteries, great for hair and skin including acne.  (Before you put your teenagers on prescription antibiotics for their troubled skin try zinc) Zinc detoxifies lead, aluminum, mercury and other toxins. In this day and age with all the pesticides in our soil, and mercury in our fish it is important to understand how supplements such as zinc  strenghen us.
